More challenge!

just came back from swensen's with platmates. love them, really (: we never ever run out of conversation topics, either we recycle old ones or we do something spastic! wahahhahah, yep, thanks platmates, yea, we rely a lot on each other, but that may not be a bad thing. ahhhhh, ning ah, why are you leaving? haha, nvm, we'll have video conference as often as we can! wheeeeeeeeee, sch w/o ning= sch w/o suanning for shmote and lemin. wahahhaha

first time muddy's going out on a sunday night and it's with platmates! haha, wheeeeeeee, anw, it's really cool being in the same class with shawna and lemin (: sat 143 on the way, lemin decided to come too, and we saw the chinatown lightups, wheeeee, we were hoping for jam but that didn't happen.

and yesterday there was canoeing! It's super fun! haha, the J2 seniors are super strong, yea (: ok, anw, the ego part first, can ignore if you don't want to read, just let muddy rant. yep, was quite happy when jiao lian told me to take the T1 and he asked me to use the bracca (think it's spelt like that) paddle, which costs $455. then went up and down 4 times so that's 4km. then switch to K1! was quite apprehensive at first, the last time i tried i capped like no one's business (8 times in fact). and the boat i was supposed to take was pinky! haha, pinky is the high seat one but this time the seat was removed, lower cg. so wheeeeeeeee, capped once, came back, the seniors were super nice and super patient, they helped to empty the boat. then went out, slowly, very slowly, came back and went out once more. so that's 2km. U-glen was quite nice, when i was coming back he came arnd to talk abt getting more balance by widening strokes. and after we kept the equipment and stuff, jiao lian talked to us, and he picked 4 of us, (wait, i think her name is yinghui or something), cynthia, shawna and me to join the J2 trng on wednesday. i bet shawna is super happy and i'm happy for her too (:

ok, the important part here. muddy feels weird, as in super super weird. maybe it's just the nature of the sport. but well, it's competitive, very much different from the "good old days". I'm sure everyone feels it too, especialy platmates. what shmote said really hit me, we'll end up competing against one another. i dunno, i'm perfectly fine with competing against strangers, but plat mates? that's another thing. and it was just plain weird, esp when jiao lian was choosing the people, super tense sia. it's no fun when you can't share your joy with others. yea, i guess that summarises it best. ahhhhhhh, and another thing, competing with seniors, that's weird also. haha, all these years too used to seniors first kind of mentality. after all, they're the ones who guided you and groomed you from the start. constant dilemma. on the other hand, i think it doesn't make sense to hold back. after all, it's about maximising potential. and not to be ego (though muddy usually is ego) or what, but of course muddy finds canoeing fun because muddy can cope with it quite well. it's like the perfect cca for muddy, like what rgs ncc was. where muddy's talents can be utilised, haha (: see, muddy has weird shoulders/shoulder and upper body muscles that are freakin stiff so it somehow makes canoeing much easier.

ahhhhh, time for a conclusion, haha, muddy thinks that muddy should and will take things one step at a time. muddy still has loads to learn, especially from all the zai J2s and ahhhhhhh, of course it feels good to win, it feels good if you're the best but muddy is... confused? haha, but well, muddy won't get sian of caneoing and muddy will stay committed. btw, after er.... long consideration, muddy has decided not to take any cca except canoeing. yea, i guess that's what i really want to do and where my interest lies in.

anw, there's canoeing tmr! yay, that's something i look forward to! ok, time to do hw, and WHEEEEEEEEE, we get to sing college anthem tomorrow! YAY, it better not rain (:

today's lessons were quite fun (: yay! but well, the best part of the day was canoeing! wahahhahahah! we were slacking in the library, then went down to eat chocolate, saw lau fan and yufang, then went for training! wheeeeeeeeeeee

ran 2 rounds as a team first, then we got a suprise, personal best time! haha, javine suspected it was some kind of trick but yea, they had lots of paper so it couldn't be wrong.

It was quite cool, the aim was to challenge ourselves, to see how much improvement we can make until the next time. It's not about who's the best or anything, it's about beating yourself. yea, was super inspired by Jasmine and Mavis' debrief. Raffles row is super special, it's a sport but the team spirit is whoa! wheeeeeee, we're going to get stronger as a team! yay!

First was 2.4km. Ran until muddy died. haha, 14.05. cannot even get A with the revised standards i think. ok, that's not important, most important is muddy aim to run it in <12min. muddy's personal best in sec 3 was 12min43sec so it's possible!

Next was IPU. hahaha, this was damn screwed lah, could have done more but i thought time was up. anw, it's a good start, did 30 in 30 seconds. yea, aim: 35. wheeeee, previous best was 25.

Then was situps with the twisting motion, suppose to be good for canoeing. wheeeeee, this super zai senior did 47! haha, muddy did 36, aim to do 42.

lastly was pushups! see how many we could do in 30 seconds. 32 for this, aim to do 35.

if only napfa was like this, haha, it'll be super fun! shuttle run is hard, then followed by sit and reach, SBJ. the funner side is 2.4, situps then IPU! haha

yep, hope can improve my running! wheeeeeee, but see, must give and take a little, too much muscles in the upper body will slow down running, haha, but i'll train hard, we'll all train hard together! yay!

wheeeeeeeeee, geog lecture today was super cool! yep, told you, human geog is a gabillion times better than physical geog. anw, the lecturer and hod, mr eric lee was supr funny, he sounds like gurmit singh. wahahhaha, first thing we did was this diagnostic test, 1. distance from s'pore to KL 2. capital of austria 3. draw a world map! wahahhaha, was quite cool and everyone was listening to his lecture, yep.

haha, rmb something lame, we were joking abt how the worst chem test you can ever get is to get a blank piece of paper and you're asked to draw the periodic table. yep, haha, the geog equivalent would be world map lah.

muddy came up with a great way to cancel morning assembly. pour water on the parade square! WAAHAHHAHAH, seriously, according to seniors, if the floor's wet no morning assembly 'cause they can't ask you to put your bag on the floor. yep, so all you need to do is get everyone to "accidentally" spill their water and yay! the whole floor's wet!

WAHAHAHHA, cca feste today, was rotting with plat mates in the canteen, took lots of photo, and i tell you, they're the freakin best people to play mafia and who what huh with. haha, maybe we've grown so used to each other after 4 years. wheeeeeeeeeeee

anw, the cca thing rite, was quite cool, just walk arnd to all the ccas, signed up for abt 5, but muddy just want to get into canoeing. yea, ahahahhahahah, wah, if they don't take me ah... haha, anw, recre canoeing (sea sports) sounded good and odac too but i guess it's canoeing, too bad soccer clashes. yep, trying to take 2-3 ccas, to fill up whichever days i'm free. and AV sounds like a gd cca to join! haha, wheeeeeeeee, yep, and today muddy reaffirmed the fact that muddy takes many things for granted! we were all the way home and decided to go dhoby ghaut for tako pachi, and we were so shocked, haha, the basement area changed alot, could hardly recognise it and bread talk! we finally got to watch bread 'talk' again! wahahhahah, yea, we saw like 6 houseflies but anw, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

last day for orientation

wheeee last day of orientation! our item is quite cool, but yep, MT is too good so we have 3 groups! MR has 2 wihle the rest have 1. ours is guest performance! haha

had WAR GAMES today! super fun, massive event. "THIS IS WAR!!!" btw, storyline ties into all our activities. we played the 'motherbig' game first, the Isabelle, held on the soccer/rugby pitch at the track, each house had a fortress and we had to attack the other ones by throwing paper balls into their container thingy. since morrison-richardson was currently leading for points (not much diff, the biggest marginwas 5 points), the hosue capts got together to form an alliance against them! it was very bad actually, like the loser cheer at them, yea. anw, they were trashed upside down, imagine 600 people on the field at one time, and 80% whacking one house. MR had no chance to attack lah. anw, alliance broke off halfway when MR was dying so we changed target to bayley waddle bec they were the closest. heard from people that the alliance was reformed for the next round.

and there was this lame colouring thing which was super fun! it's called crayon, paper and something, haha, can't remember. anw, we had to go arnd the indoor gym colouring pictures! the last game we played was caterpillar where u had to grab flags from the other og team's sleeves. all were quite barbaric at some point of time!

then o nite, it started off pretty well, but ahhhh, got screwed lah. got very draggy and people were spacing out, so yea, MT's 2nd and 3rd item and MR's 2nd item was cancelled. and Z'King and Z'Queen paegent was cancelled too. ahhh, it's a waste, haha, MT confirm win!

then it somehow ended very abruptly, we were told to go parade square, then there was something abt bec we have "revived our masters (house capts)", it's part of the storyline plot, we got desserts! buckle buckley got pandan cake, bayley waddle got yellow butter cake, hadley hullet got chocolate cake, morrison richardson got blue kueh and we got ang ku kueh! and the ang ku kueh is still in front of me now, haven't touch it! haha

then there was this cool ceremony where mr hodge lit a structure thingy on fire, it says "Z'KARDIA" and a picture of a heart! yep, the ogl's song was very nice, abt the legend of Z'Kardia. the whole orientation was very magical i guess, yep, very nice (:

and we went back to Z'Cove, did this reflections thing and empty vessels. WAIT, did i mention we painted our faces? we wore black, had this red sash arnd us, and painted our faces gold and red! yay! the guys did this palmprint thingy on their face, quite cool. yep and we went macs to eat! was arnd 11 by the time we got there. and og outing! we thought of skating/cycling/picnic and east coast!

wheeeee, back from school!

dance dance dance! WHEEEEEEEEEE, there was some um.. plan to dance at ... yea, but changed plan and we danced in school! wahahah, super fun, it's addictive i tell you.

and we had an external activity amazing race style, went to um.. macritchie and bishan park, like what jean said, they may not be the most happening place but we made it happening! haha, yep, kept raining though, and we went thompson plaza for lunch.

objective is to complete as many tasks and earn stickers which you can bet with other ogs by shouting cheesebuns! super lame rite? then whoever has the most stickers will win the territory!

and ahhh, took a bus back with sau after dancing, was arnd 10.30. we went to macs for ice cream! and we saw stars (as in real stars up there) and the auntie at macs treated us like little kids. we had this house time thingy today and omg, it's freakin cool. Moor Tarbet is the best house! haha, currently we're third! and we're suppose to be good at the aesthetics competitions coming up in the next 5 months! yep, most of the sports one are over, btw, the season ends arnd May. yay! and we have the coolest people! wahahahahha!

the cheers are nice too! WHEEEEEEEEE! there's the heineken one, the don't cha (junyi called it the don't cheer cheer) and the PRATA cheer! prata is super fun! it's the rj char siew one, yep. and the house capts and ogls and everyone is super funny, like the joke about empty vessels make the msot noise because MT was a bit quiet at first, after house time, it became 'MT' vessels make the most noise! WAHAHAHHAHAHA, the house spirit here is super strong! WHEEEEEEEE

and guess what? da ni, the house capt, was from nan hua! and first muddy didn't recognise her, she's taller, more chao ta now, but saw her name from the house paper thingy they gave out. meta;fyr went to kfc for dinner and was talking to samjo abt house capt da ni, then sudden;t he was like "you're from nan hua too?" haha, turns out he was from da ni and da wei's class, yep, and remembering all the cool stuff abt nan hua was fun! the best behaved/cleanest class plaque, mdm fong and assembly, and lots of weird stuff. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee

today we were taught the mass dance! and you know that muddy can't dance for nuts! (why does muddy want nuts anyway) yep, Jean is a super gd teacher, haha, wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

wheee, muddy thinks that wearing the rg shirt and giong there as an rgs girl means a lot, well, firstly there's all the stereotypes abt us being aggressive and un-demure and stuff which muddy must admit is true for muddy, (thankfully not all rgs girls are like that, really) and secondly, most importantly, it's our NAME.

it's really up to us to project the "right" image for an rgs girl. what does it comprise of? haha, everything, it's some sort of pride thing which muddy bets everyone feels towards their secondary sch (and primary sch). btw, the theme is greek mythology + Z'Kardia (is the spelling rite?), what a coincidence, took greek mythology for options, and guess which god/goddess is moor-tarbet's? it's athena! haha, super rgs! haha, stuff like this make you think back about school, secondary school.

WHEEEEEEEEE! it was so pro looking, in an ice box and stuff, then we tried to open it, and this nice guy came to help us, so we (5 people) SHAKE and SHAKE that freakin bottle until everyone was looking also, and this couple was video-caming our er... stunt! wah, so much tension i tell you, and we shake and shake some more and and yea, that was it. the bottle didn't pop AT ALL, not even the slightest sound, but u want sound? the whole crowd like EXPLODED with laughter!
